Just checked out this place today, due to all the hype with Gordon Ramsay helping them out and relaunch new food. The interior is nice but the lights had a small flicker every few minutes. The server and hostess were both friends and kind. However, our appetizers and main courses arrived at the same time, this is the second time this has happened there. I really wanted to love the food but it just doesn't scream fresh and local. The wings had an odd taste, the fries tasted of lemon, and the dinner rolls were so hard. Really was hoping to love it there.

Eric was our waiter. He was very attentive to my sister and I.

We started off with water and coffee. The coffee was not hot, nor did it have any flavor. Even after adding sugar, it was not in to par.

Then we had the crab corn chowder for an appetizer. It was fantastic 👏 👌 I did have to let Eric know that I wanted it super hot though.

Then my sister had the shrimp salad wrap, and I had the steak and Brie.
Both were underwhelming, my sister's was flavorless, and mine was soggy due to lettuce.

The restaurant has potential, however, I think today was a bad day.

We absolutely enjoyed our meal tonight. We ordered the stuffed rockfish, salmon romana, tuna tartare, with Caesar salad, and mashed potatoes. The food was absolutely wonderful. Brando our sever was delightful, he had the best personality, he was attentive, listened to our needs and the best part he was so excited to see the restaurant so busy. His excitement made our night!!! Way to go MacGregors, keep up the great transition. Great things are yet to come! .

I recently got to experience MacGregor's new atmosphere and menu. It was EXCELLENT! At our table, we enjoyed the wings, crab claws, smash burger , soft shell crab sandwich, and most notably the macaroni and cheese.. it was so delicious! The server was attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back for the blueberry pie, it looked amazing. With a recent renovation and new menu, it was impressive how well everything was managed. Definitely worth a visit!

Went for the grand opening after renovations, and was amazed by the fresh, sophisticated vibe! The food was delicious and everyone was friendly and passionate. Truly an improvement for our changing little town! Can’t wait for our lovely little spot by the water to get the tourism and love it deserves. MacGregor’s is a perfect representation of our small town charm! Will be returning!

We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner there on Friday. Having grown up in Havre de Grace, we were excited to try the new menu but also a little anxious because the menu shared earlier in the week was smaller than anticipated. Fortunately, the menu nearly doubled in size by Friday. We were a large group of 20 and they were short staffed so dinners came out a little slower than ideal but everything was hot and delicious. Some had burgers, others had crabcakes. My new daughter-in-law and I both ordered the salmon roman and agreed it was the best we'd ever eaten. With green beans and mashed potatoes, it was a perfect dish for me and we'll be back to MacGregor's soon! Our server was excellent and friendly even though she was stretched thin. The refreshed decor was nice but like another reviewer noted, the lights dimmed every so often and it left us wondering what that signified.
