EDIT: UPDATE TO FIVE STARS

I just left LG after making a mistake with my order and not having enough cash on me. They spotted me the $2, didn’t make me feel bad about it, and then explained how to order it the way I wanted in the future. This type of service more than makes up for the lack of refills the first time. I’m having one of the worst months of my life and this small act of kindness meant the world to me. I am now a loyal customer thru thick and thin, and I’ll bring you the $$ asap.

Good food. Fresh buffet. Service was slow on a slow lunch. Had to wait for refills to drinks quite a bit but it’s a nice local Asian eatery and I would go back!

I was shocked! Finally found some decent Chinese food in Maine! Okay, they still don't know how to do Sweet and Sour Chicken in small chunks. They give you these huge pieces of chicken that are as big as a burrito! Yikes!!! But, their Lemon Chicken is AWESOME!!! Everything is tried off their buffet was good!❤️❤️❤️

I grew up visiting and enjoying takeout from Lucky Garden, and they never disappoint! The food is always so authentic and fresh, and the customer service is wonderful. You don’t want to miss out on this gem of a spot!

Seriously the best of the best American Chinese food. The egg rolls are handmade every day. Super fresh and just soooo good! A must see in Maine. Defintley worth the trip!

I love Lucky Garden so much. The ambience is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive. I always have the buffet and find everything delicious. The dish of brocoli, snap peas, and green beans is the best combination of vegetables on the planet. Try it even if you think you don't like veg.

The shrimp fried rice was excellent. The shrimp with broccoli was good but the broccoli was overcooked. The steamed dumplings were acceptable. The chicken w with broccoli was awful. The broccoli was again overcooked and the chicken quality poor. I am originally from New York and sorry to say this isn’t in the same league as the Chinese I used to get there.

My rating is based off my indoor dining experience on Valentine's Day, which is a bummer because my wife and I were really looking forward to having dinner here because of all the great meals we had from their take out menu.

I don't know if they were running low on chicken by the time we arrived around 7:30pm, but when our entrees finally arrived (coconut/honey chicken plates), the pieces of chicken were as thick as a crepe, and mostly fried breading. They tasted like pork rinds covered in honey/coconut sauce.

We only had a few bites and then couldn't keep going because it just didn't taste good at all.

We then resorted to the buffet that was available, but the flavor of sweet sauce pork rinds was so overwhelming, they just kept hijacking those plates too.

At the end of the night, we paid about $80 and only had a few bites of food because our main courses threw us off so much, the decent options from the buffet weren't able to salvage it.

Bummer. Might just stick with their takeout.
