Kalye Grill & Lumpia offers a taste of Filipino cuisine with a mix of hits and misses. During my recent visit, I sampled their Chicken Teriyaki combo, which was decent but didn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavor. The portions were average, and while the dish was satisfactory, it didn't leave a lasting impression.

Similarly, the Pork on a stick combo had a decent taste, but I found the meat to be on the fattier side. While it provided a satisfying meal, the slightly higher prices seemed a bit unjustified given the portion sizes and the quality of the meat.

The fried rice served alongside the combos lacked the robust flavor I was expecting, and I noticed a peppery taste that overshadowed other flavors. It served its purpose as a side dish, but it didn't enhance the overall dining experience as much as I had hoped.

Included with the meal was lumpia, which was okay but needed the accompanying dip to add flavor. While it provided a nice addition to the meal, it didn't stand out as much as I had anticipated.

Overall, my experience at Kalye Grill & Lumpia was good, but it fell short of my expectations in terms of flavor. While the dishes were satisfactory, they didn't deliver the bold and vibrant flavors I associate with Filipino cuisine. Despite this, I would be willing to give it another try in the future, even given them being on a pricier side for the portion sizes.

For the most part I think k the food here was not too bad. Usually I love places that serve chicken on a stick and lumpia. Usually such places do well but occasionally they can have a bad day and have undercooked chicken. That has happened here. The chicken has good flavor, yes, but when you let your son start to eat one the next day and see pink all in half of the chicken, it can be off putting. The fried rice, not bad, a good fried rice can give you more to fill up on without breaking your pocket. The flavor isn't bad, maybe slightly less pepper next time, makes it a little harsh for kids. The lumpia was a tad thin but thin isn't too bad, makes it stay crisper longer, only issue is less filling. Either way, all in all I'd give a 4

This is a food truck on the side of the road.(We almost didn't stop but decided to try 😞) Was not for mine or my husband's taste buds. The fried rice tasted like it was cooked in fish sauce, the chicken teriyaki was rough chopped thighs and I got a small bone chunk, and the lumpia was vastly different than I have normally eaten. We threw away 90% of the $30 worth of food. We both got the chicken teriyaki combo. We drank the canned soda that comes with the combo.

Everything is frozen 🥶 NOTHING was fresh or authentic! Very disappointing especially for the inflated prices. The meat sticks were very underwhelming the pork had a weird taste and the chicken was freezer burnt. All of the entrees offered here can be purchased in your grocers freezer for a better price and taste.

Good food. Delish and fresh. Lumpia was seasoned well on the inside and crispy on the outside.

My husband and I want to try local places to eat. I am the type that have a hard time trying new places. Worried about spending on food I don't like. We decided to try this food truck. I wanted lumpia. The ladies were so sweet and the food was amazing! My husband absolutely loved his and he is super picky about his food. I highly recommend them. 🥰
