We have never had a bad experience with JB's on the water. Every meal is delicious and fresh. From the Chef to the managers and servers always a five star experience. Lobster Flatbread, Cranberry Whipped Feta Dip, Blackened Cod, Fish & Chips, Loaded Baked Cavatappi, Pecan Crusted Salmon, Fall Chicken, Fish Rueben, and JB's Style Calamari are all delicious. Save room for dessert and get the chocolate cake. You would never believe the cake is gluten free.

The servers amazing!!! The food delicious!!! JB's is our go to restaurant when visiting from New York!!!

Our son and his bride wanted to have their rehearsal dinner at JB's 1.)for the delicious food 2.) the views (they do not disappoint) 3.) the amazing staff is like family.

I have eaten at Wickford on the Water and enjoyed it so we decided to try this sister restaurant on our recent trip to RI. I got the fish Reuben and absolutely loved the flavors. The cheese could have been more melted and the sandwich overall could have been warmer. It wasn’t cold but not as hot as I’d wanted. My mom enjoyed her salad and felt it was fresh with a nice combo of flavors. A different server brought our food- my mom was washing up when our server came to ask how the food was. It had literally just been set down and only one of us was at the table. She also asked to take our order immediately when we sat down. Service was still good, just some fine tuning of timing would make things more relaxing. There are lots of yummy looking options on the menu and I’d definitely eat here again. I wish it was located in my home state. The view is beautiful, just perfect. The bathroom is located in the attached hotel and you need to go through the hotel and downstairs to find it. I’d recommend trying this restaurant. It was perfect to drive over the bridge from Newport, have an early dinner, then drive back to Newport for a sunset sail.

Food was good I would recommend the Clams Casino Dip. Chowda was good and Fish and Chip was really good. Scallops were good as well. They had a little bit of a kick at the end which I enjoyed. They have a Cajun tartar sauce which wasn’t too bad.

Service was great, servers were spot on and super helpful. WISH I REMEMBERED their names so I could shout them out.

View is really pretty especially at night. I wouldn’t go back only because there are so many places to try but I would definitely recommend it!

We were able to sit on the back deck overlooking the bay which was really fun. The service was great. The food was good, but I wish the portion sizes were a bit larger for the price. They have gluten free options which is always a plus for me.

Outstanding bayside dining for lunch on the veranda, with picturesque Newport and bridge views. We tried both hot (JB's) and traditional cold lobster rolls -- and are still arguing over which was better. Excellent food, good cocktails and friendly servers. Try it!

This place is amazing. I came here with my family and had a great experience. Our server Kaiden was great. He was very friendly and attentive. For appetizers we got calamari, meatballs (with garlic bread) and two garden salads. My two sisters and I shared the fish reuben, scallops and salmon dishes for our main meals. Every single item was fantastic. The rest of my family loved their meals as well. 3 of us also got the potters cove cocktail, which we all thought was great. My sister did mention that it was like a maze getting to the bathrooms lol (and it included some stairs). They have a good amount of parking and a beautiful view of the water. They also take reservations. I highly recommend this place for a delicious meal.

Phenomenal service and food. I had my reception dinner with Jb’s and I put all of my trust into them to set up my decorations and they nailed it. The food was so good and plentiful - my guests were needing to unbutton their pants because they couldn’t stop eating! The drinks were excellent. The restaurant has two event spaces, one upstairs for larger parties and then a private room downstairs by the bar. We were seated in the private room which was beautifully decorated. The Newport Bridge can be viewed right outside of the restaurant and there’s plenty of beautiful areas for gorgeous photos. Ambiance was so beautiful and the staff were so kind. Ashlyn was a great server and very attentive to any questions or concerns we had. She was fantastic. The event coordinator, Allie, was quick to respond to emails and very informative. She was super easy to work with. Great place, great vibes, and great food. We already decided we’re celebrating a lot more events with Jb’s!
