The bed wasn't great and the shower was terrible. I have seen water fountains that put out more water than the shower. It's also pretty dark in the rooms I'm not sure why it's so difficult to put adequate lighting in rooms. The price was reasonable and it's nicely located to go to the beach to look for shark teeth. Not saying I wouldn't stay here ever again but be aware of what you're getting into. If they would fix the shower heads it would be a lot better.

Our stay at the Island Breeze Inn was decent. The owner was very friendly and answered any questions we had.

Our room was mostly clean; however, it needed a remodel and repairs. The sink in our bathroom had a crack, and there were some stains on the pull out couch. Additionally, the TV in our room did not work, even while everything was plugged in. The couch was also blocking a dresser; however, it was comfortable to sleep on. My friends did not have a great experience with the bed, as they said it was very stiff.

We didn't have their breakfast but went swimming in the pool. The pool was clean and comfortable to swim.

MOLD, ROACHES, AND STALE SMOKE.. if you like these things come on down to island breeze inn in Venice... when we arrived we were greeted with an overwhelming STENCH of cigarettes, I smoke but even this was too much for me.. a whole candle AND can of frebreez later it was bareable.... The bed sheets, pillows, and matress cover was stained in blood, urine, and other mystery liquids, and was obviously not changed for us... upon request I was given supplies to change the bed myself...? Mold on every bathroom surface, cockroaches chasing eachother all night, and constant yelling banging and swearing from our lovely neighbors. Dirty unswept floors, stains on every wall, and exposed patchwork wiring... Will never be returning and honestly, this place should be shut down... a massive heath hazard and a huge disappointment... do not believe the pictures, and do not drink the water 💀

If you’re looking for cheap you could do worse. The biggest problem was the room smelled like a dirty ash tray. Some interesting folks walking around but, never any noise issues. SUV in parking lot leaking fuel, horrible odor. They do seem to be working to improve the place with a coat of paint.

Motel looks pretty unassuming from outside. I thought we were gonna have to leave, but the inside was actually pretty clean. The water wasn’t very hot, so that sucked after a cold rainy day. But I figure that’s pretty common in FL with the consistent heat.
it was very cheap, and close to a lot.

This place is a treasure ... a small boutique motel with authentic Olde Florida charm complete with mid century 50's architectural touches including the original wood ceiling & fan, and amenities expected of a place of its nature and time. The location was super convenient with Venice Beach 5 minutes away. The people working there were helpful & accommodating. The engaging Gen Z-er in the office (better at the iphone than I am!) even fixed my phone, saving me the time and expense at the Apple Store 🙂
I'll most definitely plan on staying here again. Thankyou!

Probably one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in a while. The location is great, surrounded by food and the beach is only about 5 minutes down the road. The staff is extremely nice. I couldn't tell you how many hotels we have stayed at where people behind the front desk couldn't care less about if you're comfortable. These people are not like that. The rooms may be considered small if you plan to just stay inside all day but there is so many other things to do around there. The AC always feels beautiful after a long day walking and swimming. The pool there was heated so it felt amazing. Long story short, this is a very nice, beautiful and clean motel.
