"Mama Jean's" knowledge and recommendations of business and locations to visit in Deer Isle, Stonington, and surrounding cities absolutely cannot be beat. With an encyclopedic knowledge and often firsthand friendship with the business owners, she knows a place for everything you can think of. Don't forget Gerald, a literal world traveling organist.The location is just stunning, and the food will have you never going back to order the same thing at a restaurant. It's a beautiful, quaint little building with a super cozy atmosphere.

My partner and I love this place! We have been coming every summer for years. The hosts, Jean and Gerald, are warm and welcoming. Their cottage is right by the water and has a beautiful view. We have spent many hours on the deck watching the wildlife and the stars.||The cottage is very clean and the kitchen comes very well stocked. ||There are lots of things to do nearby, such as hiking, canoeing, going to art galleries and restaurants. We love the small town feel.||We can't wait to go back! I highly recommend Inn at Ferry landing.

The Inn at Ferry Landing was the perfect choice for our lodging during our first visit to Maine. We got the warmest welcome the minute we parked our car. Jean and Gerald were the most wonderful and gracious hosts. Jean gave us wonderful directions to any place we were heading. She made us delicious breakfasts every day, homemade and extremely healthy. When I read the reviews on line about this Inn I never expected it to be just exactly like the reviews had said. Old, charming and just the perfect B&B. We would totally recommend it to anyone visiting Maine. Right on the ocean. Wow...what a view! Hope to get to come here again sometime.

In late September 2018, my husband and I took our first trip to Maine. We happened upon The Inn at Ferry Landing while searching for a bed and breakfast on the Maine coast. We were so excited about this Inn being an older home and being located on the water. This beautiful home did not disappoint in any way! The Inn is tranquil and inviting. You can get lost in each room for hours. There is so much to explore, enjoy and read. The family room has amazing full views of the water. We spent countless hours walking the beach, enjoying the views and shelling. We enjoyed visiting nearby towns and Acadia National Park. The views from Cadillac Mountain are breathtaking! But our most favorite part of our trip were our Innkeepers, Jean and Gerald. Their warm and gracious hospitality, our daily conversations with them, Jean's amazing breakfasts, and Gerald's daily playing of the piano, really made our staff. We truly were heartbroken to leave but we will be back next year! The Inn at Ferry Landing is the way to go!

I stayed at the Inn at Ferry Landing in early September to attend a family wedding at nearby Brooklin, Maine. My room was the Rose Room, located next to the front entrance. Equipped with a double bed, multiple small chairs and full bath, this was a perfect room for my one night stay, traveling solo. Besides the beautiful property with a gorgeous water view from the living area of the Inn, it's the hospitality of the owner Jean that will have me comeback again. Jean was very friendly, providing me with valuable local knowledge, and even lending me rain boots to attend my nephew's outdoor wedding during a passing storm. Jean also prepared a wonderful breakfast on Sunday with frittata accompanied with fresh local blueberries and yogurt. It was a wonderful breakfast, sharing the table with four other guests of the Inn. I can't wait to return with my two daughters.

Jean and Gerald are two of the sweetest people I've ever met. My family and I were blessed enough to spend two weeks in The Mooring which is an absolutely perfect place to wake up each morning. I can't say enough how greatful we are for our experience and the chance to get to know Jean and Gerald a little during our stay. The Mooring is family friendly, but would also make the PERFECT place to spend a romantic honeymoon or couples getaway. If you need a place for your next vacation you can do no better than the Inn at Ferry Landing.

One of our favorite places to spend a week in the summer or fall is Deer Isle, Maine. For the second year in a row, we have enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Ferry Landing from which we can see this sunset every evening. We are always warmly welcomed by Innkeepers, Jean and Gerald Wheeler, who readily share their love of the island and its residents. Jean’s gourmet breakfasts are creative and delicious, and Gerald can be heard playing the piano or harpsichord in the living room. Guests are comfortable relaxing in the Inn or walking on the beach and trail across the road. We hope to make our stay at the Inn at Ferry Landing an annual event.

My wife and I spent three nights with Jean and Gerald in June 2018 and immediately felt like we were visiting friends. They are both vibrant personalities with so much to share about their lives and Deer Isle. Jean is dedicated to preparing meals that are nutritious, delicious and gluten free. Breakfasts were prepared this way and could not have been better. The property has a spectacular view across Eggemoggin Reach and has numerous private spots where you may enjoy it. Or, you may spend time on the beach that adjoins the Inn.
