This is quite a long review but I am so pleased with my wetroom, I don't think anything shorter would do Anton from Home of Tiling justice.
Anton came recommended to me. I was an absolute novice in bathroom planning and with Anton's experience and knowledge, he patiently helped me with the design and planning, he told me what part of my vision was possible and what wasn't practical. Anton was meticulous and it started with how he produced his estimate, it was detailed and everything was itemised. I have never met anyone that works as diligently as Anton, he didn't take breaks, he was focused and worked solidly from the time he arrived until the the time he left which was based on what he wanted to get done and the finish he wanted to achieve. He would not leave until it's right! I was in awe of how Anton worked, he has a very high standard and as such every step mattered and he will check and re-check that it's perfect before progressing to the next stage, his attention to detail was remarkable. This was even shown in the tools and materials he used. I have never met a tradesmen with so many spirit levels and then he double checked it with a laser! I am a dentist and I have to admit, I have changed how I work because of him, to get a flawless finish, you have to be flawless at every stage. Anton was careful at all times, from taking out the old bathroom, prepping the foundation to get it square and level which was challenging giving the state of the original brick and woodwork, to his joinery, plumbing, paintwork and tiling. Anton's plastering was exquisite, he produced the smoothest, most levelled walls and ceilings I have ever seen. Each tile was placed in perfect alignment giving a seamless finish. I honestly can't fault any of it. Anton approached his work with an engineering mind and as such, if there's something he's unsure of, he will find out and make sure he fully understands before tackling it. Bc of his high standard, I have used him for other jobs and have had a perfect finish every time. Delighted with the result.

Anton from Home of Tiling recently repaired some broken tiles( rare, hard to find travetine tiles) in our bathroom. I was very impressed with his work, the attention to detail was exceptional, ensuring the repair work blended seamlessly with the surrounding tiles. I am really delighted with the shower re-furbishment job Anton has recently completed for me. He was thoroughly professional throughout, starting with ensuring all carpets were completlely protected. He has a real attention to detail and completed a high quality piece of work, going to great lengths to ensure the shower area was fully sealed. He is very precise and takes great pride in his work. I appreciated the pointers for the best possible look, he has a wealth of tiling experience which Anton is able to pass on. He worked hard throughout. I would absolutely recommend Anton to anyone wanting to undertake a similar project.

My review is quite in depth; however, I feel both honoured and it necessary to give a full well-deserved appraisal of the exceptional professionalism and skill carried out by Anton, of ‘Home of Tiling’.
Anton is an outstanding first-class master artisan, a perfectionist, and made the impossible, possible. I will explain why. In February of 2022, I contracted a construction company to build a side extension from start to finish that would incorporate a disabled wet-room and bedroom. However, their poor workmanship failed building control and the external brickwork and the partial roof they had built had to be demolished. The company left the site and did not return. Moving forward, by September of 2022, I had managed to have the rebuild of the external brickwork completed along with a new roof. The extension was now ready for the internal building work. At this stage, however, everything, including drains, needed to be done. I contacted Anton (Home of Tiling) after reading his excellent reviews online, explaining my predicament and that primarily; I was requiring a wet-room specialist alongside a skilled tradesman for the interior work. Anton visited my property and straightaway his expertise became apparent especially pertaining to the wet-room accommodating wheelchair use. He discussed the correct materials to use which he explained in depth, how best to future proof the flooring given the extra weight of the wheelchair, alongside the design of the room for ease of manoeuvring. Whatever questions/concerns I had, Anton was able to answer. We also discussed the bedroom area and he informed me what needed to be undertaken at each stage, which portrayed his project management skills. Anton was booked in several weeks later due to his busy schedule.
On commencement, Anton’s preparation work was remarkable. He supplied all the necessary protective equipment to safeguard my home and created one workstation area to minimise disruption. It was obvious that his attention to health and safety was paramount. He firstly began to dig out the foundations for the shower waste and trap. His attention to creating a precise slope for drainage, and refilling the foundations to comply with building standards, were extraordinary. Following the screeding of the floor, Anton began the arduous task of battening the walls, as they were not true and used levels alongside laser equipment to ensure a precise alignment. He then constructed a partition wall. His joinery skills are undoubtedly one of the best I have ever seen. Every task he undertakes at each level is in preparation for the next stage of works. External companies then carried out the first fix of electrics, plumbing and pipework. Once completed, Anton installed the correct insulation boards as requested by the building inspector for the roof before installing the plasterboards. He then plastered all the walls and ceilings. The finish was perfect. Faultless. Anton then proceeded with tiling the wet-room walls. He works meticulously ensuring each individual tile is positioned to perfection. His personal design of a mirrored niche has added the wow factor to the room. He also enclosed my mounted boiler ensuring it was not on display creating a flushed tiled door for easy access in line with the rest of the wall tiling. His attention to detail and creativity is outstanding. He is elite in his profession. He then fitted the ‘Polysafe Quattro’ specialist flooring which looks truly amazing. Finally, he finished the rest of the joinery work, hanging of the doors etc. Both rooms look incredible thanks to Anton’s skills and dedication. It is hard to believe that only a few weeks ago it was a carcass with so many problems.
Anton is the most genuine, hardworking, trustworthy human being you would ever want in your home. His loyalty to his customers is remarkable. His skills are endless but moreover they are always carried out with such detailed planning and precision. I would highly recommend Anton of ‘Home of Tiling’ to anyone who is looking for perfection. He makes the impossible, possible.
