First visit to this area for two nights. Check in was fast and front desk was extremely helpful with a couple of my questions. Room was surprisingly larger than I expected. Had an issue with heater/vent in room. Spoke with front desk and they dealt with the situation as well as I could've hoped. The heater/vent was replaced and within an hour and the rest of my stay in the room was exactly what I was hoping for....clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast had a few options (eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, biscuits) and the sitting area was clean and quiet. Very happy I found this place and if I return to the area, I'll certainly look to stay here again!

The staff members were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and smelled nice. The carpets in the rooms seemed fairly new or well taken care of. The bed was comfortable, but could definitely use a upgrade. Worst part of the stay was the breakfast. We were not expecting 5 star food from an IHG but the first morning the eggs were cold and the second morning the sausage could have been cooked a little more, both days the cinnamon rolls were over cooked and there wasn't much for low carb/ zero sugar options. We suggest spending the few bucks and grab breakfast locally 😉

My son and his family live in the vicinity this property is in. We tried this hotel last year and liked it better than a few of the other hotels located in the same area. The young man at the counter was pleasant and very efficient. The hotel property was clean, inside and out. The rooms were comfortable. There was one problem that we addressed when we arrived in our room. The There were very few TV stations that were on the list of stations offered that actually came in. Some of them were distorted with sound that came in and out and some of the channels didn’t come in at all, listing no satellite connection. The first time this happened, we were moved to a different room, but the TV in the new room was about as bad as the old one. We came in late the next stay, had a different room on a different floor with the same results. I ended up watching Fubo TV on my IPad and told the receptionist upon checking out that there was something severely wrong with the satellite reception in our room and thought that they might get it corrected. We stayed this past Saturday on the other side of the hotel on the top floor and got unpacked before settling down. When we turned on the TV, we experienced the same problem as we had the past couple of months. Because of the time of the evening and knowing there probably wasn’t anyone at the hotel to correct the problem, we decided to do the same thing as the last stay, watch videos on our IPads. When checking out this time my husband informed the receptionist that we did like the hotel but have decided that if they didn’t want to address the poor TV reception than we wouldn’t be staying at the hotel again. He asked for a call from the manager so he could tell him/her what was happening. No return call was ever made.The previous stays were made with my husbands IHG account and this stay was using my account.

I enjoyed staying in Freeport which was handy for shopping and my business appointment. The hotel had been refurbished recently. The room was very nice with a large TV and a very comfy bed. The heating system did not interfere with sleep or the TV. The pool was warm and not crowded during this winter trip. Breakfast was served until 10 which suited my schedule. The continental breakfast had many choices with both hot and cold items. Overall, a great experience.

Looking forward to the next time I can stay and relax. I thought the room was perfect, really well thought out, plenty of space as well as all the amenities one could need, ie.coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, hairdryer, and TV. Everything was very clean and everyone was very helpful from checkin to checkout, housekeeping, and the person who took care of the breakfast buffet who was very friendly and checked with everyone to see how things were. I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely recommend staying there. I didn't get to go shopping or dining in Freeport, ME as I was just getting out of a winter storm but I'm familiar with it and the location is very convenient to the shops as well as the highway and Rt.1.

I give the hotel great scores for cleanliness, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and excellent location however, they lack control over guest noise levels in the main common area after hours. Guests were talking very loud, laughing, and at times yelling well after 10pm. Also the doors to the rooms are terrible with closing too quickly thus causing people to slam the doors all hours of the day and night. The walls are so thin between rooms we heard a guest next door gagging and vomiting all night. Not pleasant when trying to fall asleep.

I needed a place for the night and looked around. Based on pictures and reviews of all the available hotels I chose Holiday Inn. The desk clerk had me checked in quickly. The room was comfortable and the amenities were very nice. It was below freezing outside and the heater had the room up to my temperature in no time. The rest of the night was peaceful and the bed was very comfortable.
Another bonus are the restaurants and shops in Freeport. I would recommend HIE for anyone visiting the area. Good value and clean room.
