When you step into the Aurora location, you are greeted by a friendly staff and a cozy dining with walls that are lined with accolades. Warranted as you will soon find out after ordering. There is not a single seat in the house where a trophy is not easily visible. When you dine in the King’s throne room, you won’t soon forget his victories nor his legacy. Hog Tied is the only local place that I trust giving my money to for a rack of ribs. Every visit I have FULL confidence that I will be almost moved to tears. Make the pilgrimage out to Aurora with the knowledge that it will not be your last.

Had the sliced brisket sandwich yesterday, absolutely delicious mouth-watering tender Great Smoky flavor, but the french fries I believe was from the day before wrinkled up and cold, but the meats the bun that was excellent. I know the fries were old because we came in just after they opened in the morning and they were what they were, should have been hot and fresh.

Well I’m not sure which BBQ is my favorite now. I will not mention the other establishment here. This review is just for Hog Tide. First off, this restaurant was spotless from the moment we walked through the door. My wife and I were greeted even before we got to the door. There was a waitress bussing an outside table and even though she had her hands full she welcomed us and opened the door for us. I was impressed and we returned the action by holding the door for her to get through with her full hands. The rest of the staff was friendly and informative. The before mentioned waitress took our order. We then found a table. There were a few televisions and of course they had the Cardinals game on. I don’t think we waited 10 minutes for our food to come out. It might have been a little longer but with everything to look at the time went fast. Another waitress brought us our food. She was very nice as well and attentive. The food was great. I had a 2 meat platter with smoked chicken and Texas sausage. Both were wonderful but the best was the baked potato salad and cornbread. My wife had burnt ends platter. She also had the potato salad but she got fried okra as well. Everything on her plate was delicious. Thank you Hog Tide BBQ for a wonderful dinner all around.

Incredible experience! I would have paid double it was so good!
The burnt ends, and ribs were my favorite and the baked potato salad was fantastic too!

This place is so good. Had to come to Springfield and had heard all about this place so took a little detour… it did not disappoint! Staff and food were amazing! Take the time to stop by… oh and don’t forget to get a piece of donut bread pudding 😁

Best BBQ place I’ve ever been too! Definitely worth the drive from Springfield MO! The owner is very nice and welcoming! They serve the best bbq with great service! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
