This is the best hike I've ever done. It had everything: a sandy beach, rocky shores, forests, beautiful ocean views, and lots of scrambling (which is so fun!). We had perfect sunny skies, and even though it was around 42 degrees, we ended up in t shirts in the sunny areas. We explored a cave, took several rests to admire the ocean, and dipped our feet into the Atlantic. We loved it so much, we plan on coming back next year.

We completed this trail after the ocean path trail. Compared to the ocean path trail, this one was challenging with some rock scaling and descending. It was foggy when we went but some of the views were still outstanding near the ocean’s edge. This path also leads to sand beach during low tide. Came at 5:00 pm and we were able to find a parking spot. There were approximately 10 spots, so it might be harder to find parking earlier in the day.

I feel like this is a locals hidden gem🙈, and I sorta don't want to tell you how amazing it is. It starts out as a nice gravel trail through the pine forest, then rock stairs take you down to sand beach to play. Once you venture back up the stairs you venture in the rock scramble section. It's a mixture of climbing up and walking up a steep incline. The kids absolutely loved this part. Then, it's a mile around the top with views all around the point.

The trail has muddy sections, lots of tree roots and as mentioned rock sections. So just be prepared for all types of terrian.

Pack a lunch and when you get to the over look with all the orange rocks( you'll know when you get there), climb down and enjoy your lunch in the sea breeze with waves crashing all around.

Gorgeous overlook. Immensely worth it with a shorter and more flat loop trail of dirt/gravel/rock. Park off of Schooner and take the trail left. I suggest taking the perimeter trail the whole way. You’ll hit a footpath with a spectacular view of the coastline (pictured) and then of course the actual overlook as you continue on your journey. This was my favorite non-challenging trail. If you continue on you’ll also hit the sand beach area is you go down the steps. This was a less touristy/packed way to access that area. After that, it’s a super short walk back to the car. Of course you could take the trail right from the beginning, do the beach first and access the same stuff. Maybe even just go to the beach and back.

Short, fun and not to difficult hike with a great view. We started from the sand beach and climbed up through the hill at the far end.

Excellent views with many hidden overlooks. The trail is a moderate trail with some rocky terrain, but the hidden views are the thing to find along this trail. Most people should not have an issue negotiating the terrain.

Stunning views. There are a few rocks that aren't too bad to climb to get to the views near the beach. Once you get past the rocks that have to be climbed it's an easy walk with great views in several spots.

Great hike with small challenges (climbing up rocks and stuff) great sights even with the fog. Definitely recommend!
