My favorite local supermarket. The selection is wonderful. Prices can be shocking...but I joined their rewards program to get rebates. I also use the Upside program which gives me between 6-18% back each time I shop at this gelsons. For fresh proteins, I purchase elsewhere for price.

6:30 at night on a Wednesday the salad bar was bare, no salad at all. Had to ask an employee twice to refill it, and other items on the salad bar had almost nothing in them. Hot item bar, no brisket, no spaghetti. For the prices Gelson's charges, you would think they would do better.

Even though the prices are high this store is next to my gym so convenient to pop in and grab a few groceries
Today I purchased 6 eggs and kombucha tea for $4:50 each. Which seems ridiculous. My main issue is that they have a sign that they are on sale for 50 cents off each item. I understand it applies only for their membership card. So when I asked the person at check out if I could take advantage of the sale by signing up for the membership option. She handed me a slip and said I needed to do it online and charged me full price. I think considering this is a high-end grocery store I expect better customer service and they should make it easier to apply for a membership at time of purchase. Other stores seem to be able to do this.

That I spent about $275 - While it's true that your store is cleaner and classier than most. You are seriously over priced. For instance, the vegan ricotta that I love is $11.99 at your store. Sometimes I can find it for $8.99 at Ralphs or Whole Foods. The reason I payed more is because I didn't want to make several different stops - but it looks like I will have to moving forward. Also, my favorite wine is $15.99 at your store and $8.99 at Trader Joes. This is why I only come to your store every few months. I'd prefer to come more often, but it's not financially feasible.

Love the Gelson's Thousand Oaks location. Clean and so well stocked. The staff are always so helpful and courteous and go out of there way to help you. Will definitely keep shopping at this location!

Love the products. Excellent fried chicken at the deli counter. Old school products. Great gluten free. Sugar free and vegetarian options. Love the coupons sent in the mail. Professional staff. Clean store.
