The food here is really good! I’m a bit of a sushi connoisseur. We went during happy hour and the vibe was great. The sushi all tasted so good and despite being busy the food came out quickly! Fresh and delicious! The cocktails have great taste if you eat upstairs as we did they use plastic cups but still the drinks are great!

Great food! Ramen, sushi, and hibachi on point! The Negimaki Steak with fried rice was wonderful, too! Fun speciality drinks! Staff was super nice.

We went before 5 pm, and we're greeted by a super friendly host... She asked if we wanted upstairs or downstairs. We had never been there, so we opted to see what upstairs looked like. It was half inside and had a small divider that had an outdoor section. It was pretty cold up there, but we didn't mind it.

We were greeted by a super friendly server named Cody. He made us feel super welcomed and provided top-notch service. I do wish it were warmer upstairs so more guests could've met him. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu.

The Short Rib Bao buns were fantastic and very flavorful. The miso wasn't the best I've had but still hit the spot with he colder weather.

The hibachi salmon and steak were great and cooked perfectly. We also had a JoJo Roll, it was very interesting to the eye and very delicious.

I would highly recommend this place for the overall atmosphere, flavors, and location.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fuji Sushi Upper King with my family in Downtown Charleston, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. We were lucky enough to have Laura W. as our server, and she was absolutely phenomenal! Her attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine care for our dining experience made it pure perfection. She made us feel welcome and ensured everything was flawless throughout the meal.

Now, let’s talk about the sushi – WOW! The sushi was out of this world, easily some of the best I've ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – every bite was a delight. If you're a sushi lover, this is the place to be!

We also sat on the rooftop, which added another layer of awesomeness to the evening. The views were great, the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and it just had such a cool vibe overall. Whether you're looking for a laid-back dinner or a fun night out with friends, Fuji Sushi Upper King delivers in every way.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Charleston – you won’t be disappointed!

This was immediately adjacent to our hotel, so it was a slam dunk. We arrived at 6 pm and were seated immediately. Our drink orders were quickly taken. I ordered the Dragon and the Surf and Turf rolls. My wife ordered the incredible King Hibachi.

Everything came out in a reasonable time. The Dragon roll was very good, the Surf and Turf, while different was just okay. My wife's hibachi meal was absolutely great, chicken, steak, shrimp, and lobster! Wow!

The staff were all terrific and took very good care of us. No disappointments! Enjoy.

Came here to eat with a friend a few nights ago. We sat upstairs, atmosphere was great! Service was phenomenal, order was placed at an efficient time. Parker was our server, he’s the best! I ordered the fried rice and shrimp tempura roll, food was great!

I have dined in several times at this establishment and had a good experience. I ordered take out today and it was so bad I have to share. First, I ordered through Fujis own online take out and there was only a fraction of the rolls available to order online. I ended up ordering the crunchy roll, spicy scallop roll, and an order of yellow tail nigiri. DO NOT ORDER THE CRUNCHY ROLL. It is advertised as “lightly fried” but it was fried so thick I couldn’t eat it in a single bite. It was mostly batter and the batter seeped into the roll and was so soggy and bland I felt sick after the first bite. I threw the roll away. The scallop was equally disappointing as it was mostly tempura mixed with maybe a little scallop? It was so dry the roll crumbled apart when I picked it up. I tried to eat the parts that fell out and I couldn’t even pick up the “mix” inside because it was so heavy on tempura. The yellow tail was the best part and it was fine. Overall very disappointing. I’ve had better experiences when dining in but the takeout was so bad I cannot believe it would have been any better dining in this time.

first and foremost our waitress was fabulous. Riley was personable, funny, attentive and conversed with the table incredibly well.
The food was lovely and the vibe and ambiance is modern and comfortable. Definitely a must if you’re a sushi fan and love great service.
