Foreside is the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. They are the property management company for my condo complex. They refuse to answer my questions. They do not hold our vendors accountable to their contractual obligations and allow them to damage our property. And, they do not appear to follow the language in our governing documents. When I ask for an explanation as to why they don't seem to be following our governing documents, their president, Jeff Martin, emails me that I am no longer allowed to have direct communication with his management team. This is the kind of service that $63k/year in management fees buys you from Foreside.

As a member of our condo board for many years, my experience working with Foreside Management has and still remains a very positive one. Megan Burdick is our current property manager and is professional, very helpful, and extremely personable. She responds promptly to any questions or concerns we might have and follows up when necessary. All of our vendors (quotes, contracts, communication, issues, etc.) are dealt with through Megan and all run smoothly. Foreside Management has a wealth of information and expertise and I would highly recommend their services.

As the President of our Condo Association, I’ve been very pleased with the response and quality of service offered by our Property Manager Peter Fitzgerald, as well as our contact in the Accounting Dept Stephanie Michel-Moore. We only have four resident and one commercial units but we “punch above our weight” with respect to our needs, and the Foreside Team is always there for us. We have an old building and are blessed with all the issues that come with that, so Peter has had his hands full. He has been great in leading the effort in getting the outside grounds cleaned up, and all the maintenance items that were stacked up from previous property management. We’ve been very happy with our switch to Foreside, and Peter has been a big part of that!

Can't say enough good things about FREM, and the great service they have been providing us over the past several years. We are a small condominium association with only 4 units, but are afforded the same attention and care often provided only to larger buildings. In particular, our manager, Peter Fitzgerald, has been a godsend. He has been available, responsive, competent, cordial and unflappable. On the finance side, Naomi Gardner, has kept us on track with budgets, dues collections, bill payments, and timely accurate reports. We are thankful to have the Foreside Real Estate Management team by our side.

Our condo association has been with Foreside for more than 15 years. We are basically a self-managed association (because we are small) with Naomi doing our books and Peter F. taking care of all special incidentals that we need to comply with Maine Condo laws as well as orchestrating our annual meetings. Both Naomi and Peter are very responsive, very knowledgeable, and friendly to work with. Peter recently handled an emergency roof problem and communicated with me on options to resolve, and then immediately reported results with photos. As current President, I am pleased with Foreside in meeting our Association’s current needs. Naomi is an expert with understanding our special bookkeeping design which helps our condo association, all things money, run smoothly. Thank you for years of service. I have worked with many property management companies over the years with other personal properties out of state, and Foreside ranks with the best.

Foreside is the property manager for the 85-unit condominium building in Portland, Maine where my wife and I reside. We previously lived for many years in a coop apartment building in New York City with a paid staff of 13 employees. In comparison, I’ve been very pleased as both a board member and resident at the level of attention and assistance we receive from our property manager Donald Sanborn and the other staff at Foreside, especially considering we are only one of several properties he is responsible for. Foreside is the second property manager we have had at this association and is a marked improvement over our previous management company. The tradesmen they employ are very competent and professional with the quality of the work they perform, and they are always polite and genuinely sympathetic to problems you might be having in your living environment. They are certainly the next best thing to having a paid staff of in-house employees, which would be prohibitively expensive for our small community.

My experience signing a lease and moving into a Foreside apartment went very smoothly. My property manager is Eric Chase. He’s been very accommodating of my preferences and flexible whenever possible. Responses to questions or maintenance requests have been prompt and helpful. I cannot speak to the long term but my experiences with Foreside so far have been positive.

Foreside has become the property managers where I live, they have made many improvements in the small property I live, but those small improvements have made me feel that they value their tenants. Dealing with Eric Chase has been great! I often recommend him to people who I know will make good tenants. He is fair and realizes that times are hard but sees good tenants for who they are…real people.
