This was my first time at Fon’s. I had the Tom Kha Soup and Spicy Beef special. Everything tasted fresh and delicious!! Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. I’m already looking forward to my leftovers!

What a thrill to discover such delicious and authentic Thai food in this cute little spot just off Main Street in the heart of Belfast. Our party of four choose to order family style so were fortunate to sample five different items, all of which were fantastic. The chive appetizer was a favorite as was the soup. Even vegetarian style, the soup was rich with flavor and would be top on our recommendation list. Not a single item failed to please so try a little bit of everything. The owner and chef, Fon, came out to say hello and we were happy to heap praises first-hand upon her skill in the kitchen. Our server, Kim, was friendly and efficient. Don’t miss it!

Excellent Thai food in downtown Belfast. We had fresh spring rolls, chicken money bags, Tom kha soup and Thai fried rice, all fresh and delicious. Charming Chef/owners are gracious hosts and great cooks.

Very nice place and sweet people. Food was very good and fresh! Also, the blueberry lemonade cocktail was delicious!!! If you like tart fruity stuff!! Yum! We’re planning on going again and again 😊

This was my fourth visit. I live on Mt. Desert Island, but will jump at the chance of visiting Fon's. The entire experience has been consistently excellent. It's a joy to have access to good Thai food...even if I have to drive more than an hour each way. The space it tastefully decorated and seating comfortable. It's become a destination for me and my wife.

Great place to stop for delicious Thai style food.
Happy they cater to vegetarian/ vegans and most dishes can be made accordingly.
The food was freshly prepared, hot and flavourful.
Loved their Panag curry, just that we ran out of rice and had to order some extra for $4

Almost Thai…

I eat Thai style food fairly regularly and literally all over the world except Thailand so I realize what I’m eating is not authentic. We ordered three dishes and they were just ok. Spring Rolls, Summer Rolls (they called them fresh spring rolls), and pad thai with tofu. The rolls were ok but the pad thai was either heavy on the tamarind or fish sauce. It was a struggle to eat and probably should have sent it back if they weren’t so close to closing for the evening.

Now that’s just three dishes. They have a full menu and you should try it yourself I just can’t recommend the pad Thai.

This was an amazing meal! The service and food were exceptional. Our server was super helpful, and the kitchen is willing to accommodate as much as they can for dietary restrictions (I’m gluten free). Everything we ordered was full of flavor and super well-balanced, with just the right amount of heat. Very excited to eat my leftovers:)
