The employees here are extremely lazy, unprofessional, and have no will to be of any help to anyone. I spoke to a lady named Patricia Watts over the phone after calling for over a month with no response. Patricia finally answered. She was rude, gave me zero information, and even hung up on me. The government is suppose to work for the people. All these people do is work against us. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with this office. I’ve made numerous reports to gov Kemp’s office and it seems nothing is ever done to change this. If they can’t do their job, or be willing to help at all, they need to find different employment. If I procrastinated as badly as they do, I would be fired. Why is it not that way for government workers? They should be held to a higher standard, but unfortunately they are not and they are able to get away with slacking off and being lazy! This is unacceptable and not the way any government program should work.

I have a question for the Medicaid office but no one answers the phone and I don’t want to go up to the office for something that can be answered over the phone. It’s literally just a yes or no question. They just keep sending it to their automated service and none of the automated options actually help. They just tell you different numbers to call and then no one answers any of those numbers.

One of their workers yelled at me being rude like I’m one of their kids all because I ask for a supervisor the women who I just talked to 5 mins ago she didn’t give me her name at all she needs to be fired immediately. She has no business working with people especially in this kind of department talking down on people thinking you are better than everyone. You are completely in the wrong. I have every right to contact DFACS about my benefits. I don’t know who you think you are but best believe your supervisor will be contacted and I will be reporting you this phone call is being recorded so you can’t lie your way out of it . I did nothing to you for you to act that way towards me this is completely unacceptable !

This place is worthless..im a traumatic brain injury survivor and injad brain surgery in Florida 2 years ago and I moved here a few months ago and I'm supposed to he getting my medicaid through this office. And I'm on ssi and these people told me I'm not getting medicaid through dcf I'm getting it through the ssi office. So I went down the road to the ss office and they told me no I'm getting it through the food stamp office. So I went back to this place and they told me again. They won't help me here. And i desperately need my medicaid here I've been having sharp pains in my brain. And more seizures and they don't care. The woman behind the counter is to busy eating donuts instead of looking on the computer. If something happens to me you guys are gonna get sued out your a$$. And Karmas real. You reap what you sow

Nobody answers the phone no matter how many times you call. Even when I go there in person they are rude and not helpful at all. They cancelled my son’s insurance who doesn’t have a thyroid and needs regular doctor visits without saying anything because my wife charged her status to married . They didn’t put the correct household size or my income before making this decision. I’ve been trying to contact my case worker for two weeks. Me and my wife just don’t know what to do at this point this is ridiculous.

These people are trying to help you, but I can see someone with kids can cause problems. I saw a man with a two year old leaving his side. So he had to keep running after the kid. I understand, no one to watch the kids while he had to be there. Finally he left with the kids. I'm guessing he drained the lady who helped him. But when I got called it was like I got snapped at. I can't hear so I got told to not be so much in a hurry. I was told by someone else that is what she said. I have bad vision and bad hearing so I was trying to understand what she said.

For the past month I have been contacting the customer service line to get my food stamp case reopened. I've received 2 calls back in this time. The first was brief and I was told that they would email my case worker to contact me to get the situation fixed. 2 weeks later still no response. Now mind you every time I call the line drops or I get an answering machine. Today May 12, 2023 a representative calls from the Floyd County Office in response to my call about my case. Rude is an understatement of her demeanor. She gave very rehearsed responses and proceeded to tell me she can't give me details about my case because she is a receptionist, is this not the whole reason she was calling me back? If it wasn't then the message should have been given to the appropriate care worker. I appreciate that she tried to reach out to show that the message was received but the manner in which she did it wasn't given properly and came across as rude and uncaring. No matter the position you need to be able to show some kind of compassion to the individual on the other line instead of causing more stress to the situation. When asked who her supervisor was and a number in which to reach her I was told she didn't have a number for her supervisor that they don't communicate via telephone. It's very odd and unsettling that she didn't have a way to contact her supervisor, which to me seems like another excuse and or way to keep complaints about her or the company to a minimum. She then proceeded to hang up on me without even trying to actually help with my case. This is supposed to be an organization in the community to help individuals who have fallen on hard times to get back on their feet but instead make them feel ashamed and unwilling to ask for help. No one likes to admit they need help and never should have to feel less than when reaching out for some kind of assistance. Even if I am the one needing help at this time I'm going to pray for this lady because she obviously is fighting demons based on her bad attitude, for her co-workers, for the individuals also needing help, and for anyone else who may just need a little prayer today
