We dined here on Sunday evening, 6 October 2024 while staying in the town of Ellsworth during a week-long vacation to the Down East portion of Maine. It's location is great; right on the Main Street that runs through this 150 year old little town. I ordered the Shepard's Pie and my wife had the Fish and Chips. Both entrees were fresh-made and very tasty. We ate at the bar so we could watch Sunday Night Football, and our barmaid was super friendly and gave us a few tips on other places to visit and dine at in the local area during our stay in the area. The inside decor is pretty neat and cozy. The bar sits inside of what used to be an old railroad coach car and the sit down tables are below the car's boarding ladders on the left side of the entrance. There is also a larger room in the back with more tables. I'd definitely dine here again if I ever go back to Ellsworth.

The place is clean and has a good atmosphere. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. The wings were warm but not hot temperature-wise and had a good flavor. The chips were done well. The sandwich was fine. The potato salad wasn't great.

Stopped into this gem for lunch and mocha latte. The sandwich ordered was delicious and fresh. The new Lipton Tea was available in blackberry and seltzer water was in the cooler too! Beautiful artwork available for sale. Bags of Portland's roasted Coffee by Design was available for purchase!

The service was wonderful, the inside was clean and welcoming. The food was ok, nothing special. I got the Shepherds Pie and wouldn’t get that again. It was bland and had a lot of brown gravy on top. Didn’t taste like Shepherds Pie I’ve had at other locations, or at home. My dining companion had the bangers and beans, that was a little bit better. If I went again, I’d play it safe with a sandwich or burger and avoid the entrees.

Great dinner and lunch at Finn's! Twice this week 😋 Both servers provided us food recommendations and took good care of us. Meatloaf dinner with potato salad and beets; Irish nachos appetizer (twice so good!), Cork chicken Ruben and friend has the Salt and Pepper haddock dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and beets. We enjoyed everything! Great flavors with the fish and meatloaf and the potato chips in the nachos we're thinking and crispy with bacon, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and green onions. We had the extra bonus of hearing a few classic rock songs from the live band on Sunday evening too! We will be back for sure.

We had a great time during our visit to Finn’s. The band was playing and did a great job with perfect timing I might add. The food was delicious, We had a difficult time deciding what to order because there’s so much yummy stuff to choose from. We opted for the boiled dinner and were very happy with our choices. We can’t wait to get back there again to try another item on the menu! I’m thinking about the shepherds pie as I’m typing this.

Had the brunch there this morning. So good! The home made Bloody Mary mix was delicious. My wife had the Mimosa flight. I had the Hash Benedict and my wife had the Breakfast sandwich. Delicious!!!
