Fiji Comfort Homecare cared for my mother, and my family during the difficult season of my mother's end of life. The staff were skilled, gentle, calm, spiritually grounded, and they delighted in my mother's company, her sense of humor. The shift changes were seemless, and the caregivers all connected with the family and friends who were in and out the weeks my mother was in hospice care. The administrative staff quickly responded to our initial call, and they worked compassionately, quickly and professionally to set up the care for my mother. I could not recommend Sue and her team more confidently.

Dad was living independently on hospice until he suddenly became too weak. Sue had met him on short notice to increase the care he was receiving from another caregiver, but she was able to quickly change to 24/7 care. Kini and Rachel were amazing! They were kind, attentive, experienced, and able to answer our end-of-life questions. Being a nurse in Fiji, Kini is more capable than what was required for the job, and we felt totally confident that Dad was cared for when we weren't at the house. Unfortunately, we only utilized Sue's staff for a few days, but I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needed home health care.

I wish I could give more stars to Sue and to my dads caretaker, Carl. From beginning to end they have been fabulous for our family and situation. My dad is a tougher old construction worker that was used to being very independent and was not a fan of the fact that he needed help or care, but his health had gotten to a point where he wanted to give up and truly needed it. He was cranky, tired and defeated before we started this process.

The entire process Sue was so kind and wonderful and compassionate to our family, understanding and navigating with kindness this challenging situation to see our very independent dad change. We met with several other agencies that were clearly going through a checklist or their "standard procedures" and saw my dad as another name to process, but with Sue we had a human connection that saw him as he was, that was considerate of his needs, that spoke to him and listened instead of checking boxes.

The end result was that we were gifted with the most amazing angel of a caretaker, Carl. Forever in our family we will see him as a true angel. He came in to this rather cranky and defeated man and helped him with the most challenging of situations; personal bathing, cooking, cleaning, things that my dad was used to doing for himself and was embarrassed to need help with. He helped him find his spark again; to look forward to the company, not to mind the help with the personal tasks and to even want to fight and live again once he felt better and had the proper nutrition (thanks to Carl's cooking) and felt physically better (thanks to his help bathing / grooming) and due to living in a home that felt good again (thanks to the housework and cleaning Carl helped with). AND on top of that, they did it during these challenging times of Covid, where human interaction is so challenged and we have to be so careful. They were very mindful and careful and we always felt dad was very safe.

So again, if I could give more stars I would. THANK YOU to Sue & extra thanks to our families angel, Carl. We truly believe you saved dad's mental health and life during the most challenging times he's had, and we will be forever thankful.

After a fall, my uncle needed 24 hour care, 7 days a week. We had to scramble to find someone quickly and ended up using a service that had difficulty fulfilling our needs. They sent multiple caregivers, one couldn't come last minute, it was chaotic and stressful. Luckily, after one week, our hospice team recommended we call Fiji Comfort. Sue was knowledgeable and responsive, and promptly scheduled regular caregivers who were kind, professional and reliable. My uncle felt safe and comfortable, we were relieved and satisfied knowing our Uncle was in good hands; we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Fiji Comfort.

Sue put together a team to care for my mum in record time and was immediately accommodating when there had to be changes. My brother, sister and myself were in dire need of a break while watching over our ailing mother. It was difficult to leave my mother in the hands of a stranger, but when you first meet Sue, you can see in her eyes that she is a genuinely caring person. Thanks to Sue, and her sister for a very short time, we were able to get some needed rest. I would recommend Fiji Comfort Homecare to anyone. Sue is organized, caring and attentive even with multiple requests and changes.
Miriam was the primary caregiver for my mom for the last six and a half months of my mom’s life. She was with her 24 hours a day most of the time. Miriam cooked delicious healthful meals, cleaned, and most importantly, talked to my mom and provided thoughtful conversation along with her loving care and assistance with her activities of daily living and assistance with errands and endless other duties. Miriam was good at directing without being bossy. She gave my mom the right mix of freedom/privacy and supervision to prevent falls. As my mom became progressively more confused, Miriam was able to direct her to ensure her safety, and provide reassurance and care. After she was bedbound, Miriam cared for her day and night, kept her clean, administered medications, turned her frequently to prevent skin breakdown, fed her and provided liquids, interacted cheerfully and enthusiastically with family members and spent several hours awake every night during long episodes of confusion/agitation. She also anticipated what needed to be done and used initiative to do it. I highly recommend Fiji Comfort Care.

When we brought my Dad home from hospice care, we needed a 24-hour caregiver and that is when I reached out to Sue. She responded to my call very quickly and efficiently. When my Dad came home, we had a caregiver ready for him and that is all thanks to Sue. Another issue that I can't thank Sue enough for is, that when we made a request to change the caregiver, she took our request in a very kind and professional way without questioning us as to why? She sent us the best caregiver (Mr. Kevu). He was a true gentleman with a very kind and caring heart.
