The staff is pleasant, which is nice. However, I feel like I lit money on fire. They forced me to pay for a CT scan on arrival, but then also a culture swab. It turns out if any virus shows up on the culture swab, they say to treat the symptoms and can’t do anything else - so that should be the first test, to avoiding paying for both if possible. When the office called with the results, the medical assistant couldn’t answer any questions at all and got off the phone as quickly as possible. Looking at my insurance app, it looks like they didn’t run either the CT scan or the swab through my insurance and charged me $413 even those should be covered. I can’t recommend this place at all.

Edit - oh chill out - I already see in my insurance app they paid 100% of my CT scan. You did not accurately bill me and I’ll need a refund. my point about doing culture swabs before CT scans if they take precedence is just common sense, and you don’t have patients’ health and wellbeing at the forefront when you have medical assistants call with test results after such a large bill to say they “can’t answer any questions.”

I went in for an appointment to see a doctor and before I was even able to do that they tried to send me to get a cat scan, I declined as I hadn’t even seen a doctor yet! I explained I was willing to pay my copay and talk to a doctor and discuss other things first. The doctor came in and spent a whole ten minutes with me, put some metal thing in my nose which I didn’t think about, said she was giving me a goody bag of stuff which turned out to be a sinus rinse thing with one packet and then I go to check out and am told I owe $321 which my co pay is not that but evidently that metal thing cost quite a bit and I was taken for, again not what I told the lady in the front I was there for. The worst was the patronizing way they then treated me when I was applauded with this bill. I handed them my card and they had the nerve to ask if I wanted to schedule another appointment as if I would ever come back there. The amount of shadiness and disrespect is appalling. I filled out their survey and emailed their billing director as well about this but I’m sure there will be no response because it’s all about the money and they will go on. Go find yourself a doctor that actually cares. The saddest part is I chose a woman doctor cause I thought that might be better but it was all women that treated me disrespectfully.

Be careful, predatory billing practices, they will charge you hundreds of dollars for just a 20 minute visit. Front desk staff will not tell you what is covered unless you ask. Always ask the cost of each procedure before seeing the doctor. Doctor was happy to run up a $500+ bill for only a 20 minute visit. No follow up from them, no resolution, just a large bill.

BTW I was guaranteed a follow up call from your office.

To start this review is not about the Physician or the receptionist. This is to reference the office in Coral Springs. This is about the office workers who denied service because my insurance information was not updated in their system. Although I mentioned I would pay out-of-pocket until updated, (which now they denied this), I was refused to be seen. Do I have a case, without having the conversation record, not sure I do. Even when I asked what can I do to be seen, she still insisted I need to take care of my insurance even though I gave my Medicare Card.

I absolutely would not recommend this practice unless you enjoy being ripped off. This office has sketchy billing practices. I was charged $262 for a nasal swab and $95 for ear wax removal. I should have been informed this would be the cost at the office as I did not know these were extra charges apart from an office visit and that my insurance would not cover the extras. The worst part is I never received a bill for these services and was contacted 6 months later by collections for the balance. When I called the office, they said I was sent 3 notices in the mail and verified my address. I find this very sketchy since I did not receive any of these notices. I have excellent credit and never had anything sent to collections in my life. Definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. They seem to be out to scam people.

Overall great experience and highly recommended. Admin staff was friendly and organized. Our appointment was with Dr. Wong who is experienced with pediatric care. He was very professional and we did not feel rushed at all when asking our many questions.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I had a severe allergy they treated with immunotherapy toothpaste that only made symptoms 100 times worse. I was manipulated into spending thousands of dollars into what they convinced me would cure my allergy, even though it wasn’t covered by insurance. When I showed the allergist my daily journal of reactions from the medication, she told me “there’s no way it could be the medication” LIARS!!! My face swelled up like a balloon directly after using it every day and they told me that wasn’t possible. They are just here for your money, not here to help you.

I find Dr Emmer to be extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly what is wrong. He’s a very kind , nice man. Always has a great smile. It makes you feel comfortable.
