Finally stopped in after this place had been open for a year or so (?). I really didn't expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. They have added nice visual elements to the place, and the food I had was pretty great.

They brought warm, fresh chips and a nice homemade salsa to the table. I ordered the Patron Margarita, which was very nicely made and had balanced flavors. For food I ordered one of my favorite dishes when I can find it - the birria tacos. Have to admit, they were outstanding! Better than some I've had in Mexico.

This was a nice find in Saco! I'll be back.

Food was amazing but appetizer came out with dinner. Wait staff made us feel rushed. I was only a third of the way through my main course when the waitress bright or check and asked if we wanted boxes. They weren't busy and it wasn't close to closing time. I told her I was still eating and asked for a glass of water. It took a while for the water to come. Other than that it was great. Everything tasted great!

Came here for dinner, after a recommendation and I can say it was a great experience. Although this place was busy when we walked in, the service was timely, the wait for the food was a bit much but the drinks and chips were a delicious start. When the food came out, it was big portions, flavorful and delicious. They had music playing which was not too loud. They apparently have a bar upstairs which i didn’t see. There’s plenty of parking spaces in the back, make sure to turn at the light because the street is busy and a painful experience.

I recently met some real estate clients for dinner at El Tequila in Saco, Maine, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for both casual get-togethers and business meetings. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was excellent—attentive but not intrusive.

If you're looking for great Mexican cuisine in Saco, this is definitely the place to go. I’ll be back for sure! Highly recommend! 🌮🍹🔥

Zuyhanny was an excellent waitress. She was very pleasant. We ordered some tacos and a enchilada. Slight issue with some missing tomatoes and sourcream but we got them quickly. Beautiful accents on the walls. Drinks were really good.! Great prices too.

Hands down one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in Maine yet. Born and raised in the southwest I’ve yet to find a spot with such a good atmosphere and food that is actually a good representation of Mexican-American cuisine. We ordered the Birria tacos and a chicken quesadilla. Everything was very clearly made from scratch and hands down one of the freshest salsas and sour cream I’ve ever had at a sit-down restaurant. Everything, cocktails included, was worth the price.

My only critique is it would have been even better with music to set the ambience. Otherwise, enjoy the drinks and the food if you want a true Mexican-American experience.

Food was absolutely fire! Margaritas on point! Only problem was the service. Had to literally walk up to the kitchen to get our waiter. Guy who dropped off our hot plates was on his phone. Also the waiters didnt really know the menu (specials). But they were friendly and the decor was very festive. I know its a new spot so i let it go. I would def go back for their happy hour and the food!
