These people do NOT follow USA standards on providing a public defender or any real medical assistance to an inmate. My brother has been there since August 2016 and has not even met his public defender yet. He has trial in a couple months and his public defender has not come to see him once as of yet. He had a triple heart bypass surgery and is due an echo cardiogram but can not get it. The public defender assigned will not talk to his family members either so we are at a loss. I actually do not give 1 star but I can not post without it.

Most definitely this is the WORST facility ever. I have been an inmate at this facility and a visitor as well. The conditions to say the least are far from government standards and the medical care is a joke. Food standards aren't even close to guidelines for certification and the overall standards are so poor that words can't describe the lack of standards for this facility. This facility shouldn't even be operational because of how poorly ran the facility is...heck they can't even keep employment fully functional. They are overworked and understaffed and the whole facility is about a joke. Would rate at a negative3 but to post I have to rate with 1 star

Excellent staff member! Food needs more salt, however over all it was a great experience. I give it a 5/5. I highly recommend to friends and family. I Definitely would be arrested by them again 👍🏾

Lousy service when it comes to communication the correctional offers are a** and hard headed. No help what so all!!!! That's how all things in Carlsbad are tho 🤷‍♂️
