It was great to be able to visit our son at Salve Regina and bring our dogs along too! This place was very clean and updated! We have stayed here several times. They have individual cottages to the dogs don’t get freaked out hearing noises above or on sides. They also have a dog walking area which is convenient with bags and a garbage so the grounds stay very clean! This is a 10-15 ride into Newport which isn’t terrible. Highly recommend! Staff was extremely responsive!

We stayed in one of their cottages which was very clean and nicely updated! It had everything we needed. I loved that we could walk our dogs right outside our cottage and they even have bags and a garbage for the dogs which helps keep everything clean! This was short 10 minute drive into Newport. Their staff was super responsive and very helpful! Highly recommend staying here!

I booked a quick little two night getaway for my wife’s birthday! We took our two dogs with us as well. The location is prime and the unit was really nice to have our own little house with everything we needed. We are both vegan and the food did not disappoint! The first night we ate in and on Saturday afternoon we went to the brewery/winery next door! It was so good. Everything was farm to table and made in house and the drinks were fabulous. We also had a massage here and it was so relaxing. Saturday morning we went for a run at the cliffs and the views from this area were stunning!|We will definitely be back again and there is no doubt that this is where we would stay.

I've stayed at the lovely East Island Reserve twice in March 2025 and have just booked a 3rd stay for April. It is sparkling clean, offers the privacy of an apartment and the conveniences of a hotel.The location is great: super close to beaches, hiking trails, and wineries. I highly recommend it for your next short or long term visit to this area.

Fantastic spot for 2 friends on a getaway. Really reasonably priced for off season; comfy to sit and chat for hours on end, much nicer to hang out in than just a hotel room. Since it's two levels, we also each had a little bit of space.||Kitchen was well stocked, everything was well appointed. It was nice to have 1.5 bathrooms, one bathroom per level. Parking was free and right in front of our cottage ($25 only if you don't return the parking pass to your cottage). We had trouble with the entry code upon check in but before we even could pick up the phone, someone came to help us and replaced the battery on the keypad right away.||Cute loop of 16 or so cottages -- it would be fun if a wedding party or large family having an event at the vineyard next door rented the whole lot. It's not right in Newport but it was easy enough to drive into town. Would def stay again!

Review of My Stay at East Island Reserve Hotel, I take reviews very serieus and review many stays, so I took my time to write this one.||I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. To be fair, the hotel was very clean, but the overall stay was far from comfortable or pleasant.||Upon arrival, we encountered several issues that made us question our decision. The first night was particularly uncomfortable. We could clearly hear disturbing noises from both rooms next to ours, where guests were engaging in very loud and adult activities. To make matters worse, the individuals involved were not couples, and they left in different cars and one stayed the night when others did not, which added to the unsettling atmosphere.||The customer service experience was equally disappointing. The office lady called me, expressing frustration over a car parked in my designated spot. However, the car did not belong to me; it was from one of the visitors of the other guests. She was already angry and accusatory before I had the chance to explain the situation, which felt extremely unprofessional.||The worst part of the experience came when I checked out. I was fined $250 after the hotel management claimed they found a vape in my trash. I had disposed of a broken vape and never smoked on the property, yet I was penalized without any prior warning or opportunity to clarify the situation. The staff member who spoke to me was rude, and when I attempted to explain, she dismissed my concerns and made an inappropriate comment, saying "you Europeans," (my family lives in Rhode Island) which felt uncalled for. ||Despite these issues, we attempted to cancel the remainder of our stay, but the management refused, and we were forced to stay in a room where we could hear other guests' loud activities every night. The hotel charges an additional $30 per night for housekeeping, which I found excessive, especially given that the rooms were not cleaned during our stay. Additionally, the kitchen in our room only had a fridge and sink, which I found rather inconvenient.||While the hotel was clean and had basic amenities, the overall experience was marred by poor customer service, a lack of proper noise insulation, and unprofessional handling of my concerns. I do not feel that this stay was worth the price, and I would not recommend this hotel to others. There are certainly better options for those looking for a peaceful and respectful stay within this budget.

What a wonderful stay, plus the management is so accommodating and kind. Stayed in the cottage and it was roomy and very modern. We also had our own private parking space. Our other family members stayed in the studio kitchenette and were very surprised on how roomy and modern they are also. They have everything you need to make your stay memorable. If you are in the area, make sure to book East Island Reserve Hotel. It is not an ordinary hotel and you will be happy that you did.

Very nice cottage. The unit is a free standing 2 level cottage. Very clean, nice interior touches (stone countertop, hardwood flooring, washer/dyer in master bedroom. Close proximity to Newport. Nice landscaping. Very friendly/helpful staff.|I will definitely be returning. Pets welcome. A great experience.
