My son introduced me to David and Dad’s. We ordered carry-out breakfast. The cinnamon french toast was delicious, as well as the turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and cheese, and sweet tea. The cafe offered a relaxed atmosphere under an aesthetically pleasing ceiling with intricate molding and lighting along with huge windows used for outside viewing as well as a partition between the bar and cafe room.

There were ample tables and seating available. Staff were pleasantly helpful. Customers waited patiently with a number given to each. No sad faces. Orders did not take long.

The food selection was vast. Napkins and utensil were of high quality. I loved David and Dad’s! Plan to return in the near future.

By the way, they also cater. I caught glimpse of a huge box lunch catering order being prepared in a separate room.

Located in a beautiful industrial building. Maybe an old bank? Not sure. We are new to Baltimore and were pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious. We had the buttermilk pancakes with bacon and the western omelette. The pancakes were crunchy on the outside yet light and airy on the inside. Omelette was made to perfectly, the toast was buttered! The potatoes for me were the best part. They came with caramelized onions. Oh and the Bloody Mary had the right amount of vodka. The only downside was the pearl mill syrup. Wish it was better quality but tbh it all tasted yummy. We will be back.

Wonderful cafe in a beautiful former bank. The food was delicious, and the workers were phenomenal. Just a real bunch of good people making good food. I can not say enough nice things about David and Dad's.

I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The interior is fairly well preserved from the buildings origins and it’s pretty spacious, but besides that I was not impressed with much else that this place had to offer. I got the chicken and waffles and received just that: chicken…and waffle. Not a single sprinkle of anything resembling seasoning, no garnishes, not even “real” maple syrup. Just a glum, school cafeteria-looking plate of brown. Suspended in the culinary abyss that is not technically being “bad”…but absolutely not anything I would call “good”. Maybe there are other items on the menu that are genuinely great and would make this cafe worth returning to, but I must have missed them.

Great space! The atmosphere is nice, with a dining area and order counter, and the food and coffee have no complaints from me. I've been twice recently, and tried their Cinnamon French Toast, their Spicy Sausage Burrito, Home Fries, and Cappuccino. Everything has been great so far. The Burrito picture shows some Old Bay and Tabasco sauce, but I added those. Not much in the way of spices on the food I've tried, but everything's still good!

Overall, this is mostly a place to stop by for good, above-average diner-type food and coffee options. The service is good, and the place has plenty of regular customers dining in, so it's easy to recommend!

I have to admit my rating is significantly impacted by the fact that I came here specifically for the homemade sausage gravy or chipped beef gravy, and they didn’t have either.

I forgot to ask what kind of bread they had when I ordered and they served me white toast without asking me my preference. Maybe that’s all they had.

The grits came to the table, barely warm. I’m not sure, but I believe they were instant grits. They did pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat them up for me. Which I appreciated.

The scrapple was a nice thick slice and cooked to perfection. Very hot in the middle. I wanted over easy eggs. They were a little more well done than I like. Not much runny yolk. The coffee was good. The servers were friendly. The breakfast was very reasonably priced.

Nothing screamed. “You’ve gotta come back here.” it was much different than my first experience here before they moved locations.

Fast, friendly staff, tasty soup(had the turkey noodle). Even offer a discount for jurors from the nearby courthouse for fountain drinks. Prices aren't ridiculous and you can get a light lunch for around $10 or so.
