Traffic & no parking downtown considered I'm still proud to be a lifelong resident of this great city. There are too many reasons to list but never a dull moment.
Today at Walmart, I was insulted by a fellow African, told I was too American by another fellow African (speaking Spanish) and stopped for an Italian slice where 5 average working stiffs openly offended me.
We're Eclectic Friendly and Proudly Multicultural 🌟

Rhode Island is the smallest state in the United States; but it has a unique and diverse culture, especially its capital city, Providence. Downtown Providence is my favorite City; maybe I'm biased because I was born there.

As a teenager, I loved taking the city bus to the Providence Place Mall, then hanging out at the Waterplace Park. Once I was in college, I would frequent Thayer St., the East side, and Wickenden St. often. I was always hanging out with my friends, at one of my favorite dive bar/club, Club Hell; they had 80s nights on Tuesdays, goth nights on Wednesdays, and Rock & Roll nights on Fridays.

Providence is definitely a foodie city with tons of good eats. On a warm day, just take a walk around; lots of history and beautiful architecture. The new pedestrian bridge is also a lovely addition. There are many events that goes on, Waterfire is a popular one. It is home to some notable colleges such as Brown University, Providence College, Rhode Island School of Design, and Rhode Island College (my alma mater!)

If you go to Federal Hill, there are some good restaurants and bars; home to the best Italian food. If you want to be one with nature, go to Roger Williams Park and Zoo. Overall, definitely a fun little city and gem in my eyes.

Incredible experience! I was really surprised at how easy this went. The property I recently purchased was zoned commercial, despite being sold to me as residential. I had taken the day off from Boston, coming down for the day to settle this issue, so I could pull a permit as soon as possible. I explained this to Mr. David Rodeo, and he was awesome! He tried as hard as he could to get an inspector out to the property right away. After asking about 5-6 people (all of which were going to a meeting), he found Carl (an inspector). Carl beat me to the house, did the inspection, and fixed the problem within minutes! I was surprised at home fast everything was resolved within an hour. A+ Job to this department! Thank You!

Providence is such a great City. Between the Arts and the restaurants there is something for everyone. I love living here also enjoy most of the people. Providence is only a few minutes from the beach and only a few hours from New York
