A perfect place for solo travelers staying for a couple of nights. When I pulled up I was genuinely a bit scared! But the check in was quick and friendly and the room was very inviting. The beds are soft and everything is clean, if a bit worn (I certainly don't mind the rustic look!). I loved the location being just outside the bustling main street so it felt more peaceful, but it's still a short walk to all the action! I'll certainly be coming back here!

Update 6/26/23 - This was our 3rd time we've stayed here. Reviews have been mixed since the property was sold, but the new property manager Rick is doing a great job of turning things around. The motel was clean, had lots of hot water & is still reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Charlie's Motel to anyone staying in the area & will definitely stay there again when I'm back in the area. This is the second time I've stayed here with my Hubby. It's a no-frills place, but it's clean, comfortable & has lots of hot water in the shower. There is a bar attached to the motel that has decent food & good prices. The owner, John, is very pleasant & fun to talk to. We will definitely stay here again.

Very basic accomodations. There was urine in the toilet upon my arrival which explained the smell. Bathroom sink is in the room. No drinking glass anywhere in the room. Bathroom had a cement floor. Linens were clean, mattress okay. People from the bar were outside my room talking from 2:00-3:00 am.

This is an interesting motel, u-shaped with a lively bar at one end. Also atypical in that there is an entrance into a hallway so that the motel room door is interior. The room is clean and comfortable, the mattress firm and provides a good night's sleep. Plenty of hot water too. Great price and value. John, the owner (who bought it from Charlie 35 years ago) has a great sense of humor and was very easygoing. Room has a microwave and refrigerator/freezer but no coffee maker. No breakfast, pool, or fitness center. Just a good, quiet night's sleep for a good value.

So many good reviews had no worries staying here. And sure enough it was as nice as the reviews before said it was. Clean, safe and quiet. Very nice bar /grill in front. Serving menu board food chicken sandwich is one I remember seeing. As we went there to complete our check in. Room was clean not huge but not overly small either. Shower had great hot water and awesome shower head for a nice good hot shower. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Or anyone looking to just rest from a long journey.

DIRTY!!! VERY VERY DIRTY! I didn't expect much for the price, but I expected at least a clean toilet, one without dried urine all over it. And the old M&M's and other people's food to be cleaned up. And maybe the floor swept? Vacuumed? This room has not been cleaned in months. Don't believe the other reviews that mention clean. It was clearly satire that I missed. I couldn't stay it was so disgusting.
