It's a Cala so definitely a lots of rocks. For me it's very uncomfortable to sunbathing, but if you want to swimming 🏊‍♂️ it's one of the perfect places. You has to be a good swimmer, there not safeguards or any of those accommodation.
If you don't drive a car it will be very tiring to walk from the bus station to the "beach" and vice-versa, more if it's a hot day.
Recommend to be early, they have parking limited capacity.

rocky little cove below Deia. a nice walk with a rewarding cove to swim in.
very small area so could be seem crowded outside of winter. amazing coastal trail from just above beach connecting with GR221 at Ben's D'Avall. parking area is a bit of a walk from the beach. there are a few places to eat or get a drink in summer season but are closed in winter.

Amazing Beach. Really difficult to find parking and very windy. Narrow roads to get down to it, but worth the journey. The restaurants are quite busy and the beach is quite Rocky and seaweed is everywhere but it's very beautiful. We went on a very wavy day and we're unable to swim but would love to go back and swim and snorkel on this cala.

Deià is part of the Unesco World Heritage. When we are there we understand why. Stunning, beautiful, special, breathtaking.
Worth it a visit.
Unfortunately, I tried to go to Cala de Deià but it's so difficult. The 2 kilometres of a tiny, narrow road with two ways makes the visit a nightmare. After driving for a while I made a U turn. The weather didn't help because it was raining a lot. Next time I go with a taxi.
Just drive around and feel the place. It's magical.

Super beautiful ! Turquoise water, super calm and completely empty ! Perfect for a pique nique, but I would say not if you wanna swim… If you go to Deià it s a must to see!

Easy to reach by walking down from Deià or you can drive close to the clear water of the Mediterranean. Cafe for eating and drinking as well as the necessary toilets. Fantastic ambience, the views make every photographer look good.

Had high expectations of the beach (my wife wanted to go there so I haven’t even looked at the images before), but the reality is…beautiful location, ugly beach with big stones on which you can’t even lie on, expensive and overhyped restaurant.

Btw we went in end of September, can’t imagine how chaotic it may be during the high season 😳

Very narrow roads, I didn’t had issues but if you’re a bit inexperienced driver I would suggest to avoid

Cala Deià is a beautiful, rocky cove with crystal-clear water and dramatic scenery. The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by cliffs and with a couple of rustic restaurants overlooking the sea.

When I visited, the wind and waves made swimming quite difficult, so it’s not always the calm, easy swim you might expect. Water shoes are helpful too, as the beach is rocky rather than sandy.

Still, it’s a special place to relax, enjoy the view, and soak up the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, but best on a calm day.
