This was our second visit to Cabbage Island for their famous clambakes, and this time, we brought a whole crew. The food is incredibly fresh—delicious lobsters and other steamers are steamed and covered in kelp, which is abundant on the island and adds a unique flavor and aroma. While it is a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth the drive to Maine for a weekend to experience this distinctive way of enjoying their renowned lobsters.

A lovely narrated boat ride out to the island and a meal that is more than enough for most people. The staff is super nice, and the owners who bought the island in 1986 and live there in the summer are out and about chatting with the guests. A great Maine experience!

My family was up visiting my cousin and her husband and she planned a very memorable day. You start off taking a boat tour toward the island. Wish I had taken more pictures. At the island you enjoy 2 lobsters, clams, chowder, boiled egg, an onion, baked potato, corn on the cob, melted butter, ice tea, coffee, and the Best blueberry cake I have ever had. The people serving you are Stellar, mostly very intelligent and very sweet teens earning money for college. Seeing these younger folks in action let me know USA still has hope for a bright future. I will keep them in my prayers daily. The food was Excellent and the service was Perfection!!! When you get back on the boat to leave the island, the owner bids you farewell. Highest recommendation possible!!! This is a do Not miss!!!

What an event! You may look at the cost and try to talk yourself out of it but don’t! It is solid value for money. A beautiful boat ride to the island with so much information about the area your brain may explode, but try to hold off because you may need it to stuff food in your gob. The staff? Amazing? The boat ride and location? Epic. The food? Beyond words. From the chowder that had more haddock in it than a local fishmonger to the clams, from the corn to taters that would make Samwise drool, this was ridiculous. And then there were the two? Lobstahs? What in the name of all that’s holy? Enough drawn butter to dive my cardiologist nightmares, and finished off with a blueberry cake straight from the heavens, do yourself a favor and drop the cash (or check). This is an adventure worth having. Many thanks to the amazing crew there that makes this happen. They were awesome! If you don’t like lobster there is also Chicken, but learn to live on the edge already…book now!

100% would do this again!! Recommend to do it with your family and man you won’t be disappointed.

The food is served super fast and fresh. The chowder is great and the cake they baked was superb.

Wonderful experience all around. The boat ride around the harbor was great and the food and experience on the island was fantastic. The family has it down to a science and every aspect of the experience ensures each guest has the best time possible. I definitely recommend this experience at least one time in your life.
