The ox tail is awesome. I took the sauce home and have had it on toast, and fish. Perfect heat and SO FLAVORFUL! The catfish had the perfect crisp coating. It wasn’t thick and didn’t overpower the fish! Collard greens are a must choice! The baked beans were also wonderful. Give this place a try. All meals are individually cooked-it is not fast food.

All three dishes we ordered - peri peri chicken, chicken fried chicken and fried catfish - were served hot and fresh and cooked perfectly. The sides were likewise excellent with the cornbread being a real standout.
You order at the counter and then wait for your food to be brought out. It’s not fast, but the wait was worth it. The staff is friendly and efficient.
There were tons of takeout meals headed out while we were there for lunch and we couldn’t help but notice that this was about the nicest crowd of restaurant patrons we have ever encountered. Folks wishing us a nice day, talking about the food and just generally being pleasant. It added to the food experience and overshadowed the somewhat uncomfortable chairs bolted to the floor.

Excellent catfish and Collard greens. Country style baked beans were bangin’! Oxtail was super tender, sauce was very spicy, they gave me a little yogurt to tame it! Family owned. I’ll be back!

Had the best butter chicken and catfish of my LIFE at this place. We also had the hush puppies, yams, cornbread, and fried pickles as sides - all great. Food was absolutely amazing, and cooked fresh. Portions are super generous, we had enough to take home and have an entire second meal. I'm so sad we aren't local, but will definitely stop by every single time we're in the area.

I stopped in here this past Tuesday, close to closing time. Ordered the peri peri chicken and curry chicken with sides. This food was so good. The curry chicken was absolutely amazing. It was rich and creamy, so flavourful. I got it as medium and it was on point. I got mac/cheese and hush puppies as sides and both were really really delicious. The gentleman at the counter was so nice. He even threw in some utensils, since It was apparent I was not a local 😅
I spent a bit under 30$ and the amount of food and quality was amazing. Next time I am local for work, I will definitely be stopping by again.

Really excellent food. Not since my father brought me to fish camps down south have I had such well executed catfish. Everything was really delicious though. Collards, stewed tomatoes, hushpuppies, fried chicken on rice with gravy. I can’t wait to go back, and to have the banana pudding we brought home. A great New Year’s Day treat. We live over an hour away and are already planning our next visit. Lovely family too.

Oh man !!! I am from the south and it’s hard to find good ol southern food. This place hits the nail on the head ! The catfish is superb! Fried okra, Salisbury steak with real mashed potatoes! The cornbread was fresh and moist. The people were so friendly and welcoming. I think we found our new go to place to eat !!!! Thank you !

New to town and wanted something different than fast food and THIS IS the place! I’m a very picky eater but the food was absolutely delicious! The only thing I was disappointed about was I called my order in too early for Mac n cheese…😜! Huge portions, piping hot, fresh, cooked-to-order food, and friendly service! We will be ordering again!
