Gorgeous area highlighted by the amazing Bar Harbor Shore Path. Enjoy the park and the many great shops and restaurants, but the star of this area is the park and this path!
Consider supporting the rehabilitation of the path south of Grant Park that has been destroyed by recent storms. Unfortunately the path is closed past the park due to this erosion. Go as far as you can though, Balanced Rock...very much worth it!

I was here recently and walked down to watch the moon rise, there is some damage to the path from a storm earlier this year and it’s being repaired but the wall is still up so I walked along the wall at my own risk, on my way back an ugly grumpy old man blinded me with a flashlight and screamed at me that I was trespassing on his property that he owns the property down to the ocean and no one is allowed to walk the ocean path. Use extreme caution, he seems mentally unstable.

Visited in the off season, stunning easy flat walk, while not paved it is for the most part accessible and hazard free. For folks that like to climb on rocks atleast during our visit we where able to climb around on the rocks during lower tide

What a beautiful walk along The Shore Path at sunset, at the end of a picture perfect day. Incredible colors, relaxing atmosphere, calm water, boats silhouetted against the water and sky, the well landscape properties along the path. This was such an enjoyable walk, that it was hard to leave it. If you get the chance be sure to walk it and enjoy the leaving your stress behind.

A beautiful casual walk along the water. Peaceful and easy walk for all ages. One might even call it a bit of a romantic spot, perfect for an after dinner stroll with someone you love.

There are a few spots to grab a bench or climb down on some rocks to enjoy the view.

Nice views we went at sunset and it was beautiful!! It’s not too long but not to short, so this was perfect for us. There were lots of dogs on the path, so if you are allergic to dogs you may or may not want to come.
