We really loved this Bed and Breakfast. A nice warm fire in the fireplace, comfortable bed, and a terrific breakfast! The host was very pleasant, and accommodating. This was the nicest stop on our 1600 mile journey from Texas to New York! Make a plan to stay here. Wished we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at the Trail House for our anniversary as a wonderful waypoint on our route to Baltimore and the BnB experience fully lived up to the reputation! The location is wonderful and if the weather had not been freezing sleet, would have been an EZ walk to the wonderful rich downtown. (drove down and enjoyed a great meal at the Toasted goat & explored the awesome Main Street Books!) The house is beautiful, classic but inviting and homey and very well maintained. We stayed in the Dixon room, which was charming, well maintained and very comfortable after a day on the road. The bed was firm but comfy with awesome pillows. We could hear other lodgers were around but not anything intrusive. Jason went above and beyond to be flexible with our cheeseboard timing, bring up an absolutely delicious and healthful breakfast (coffee was so good!) and handled with grace our oopsie on giving him the wrong Card (which other BnB owners would not have been as kind about). Jason and his better half made us feel very at home, as well as their cool doggo. Weather rattled our shutters, but it was a mighty gusty storm so that is to be expected!! As the book store owner in town said, "Jason runs a great place!"

We had the pleasure of staying at the Allegheny Trail House in August while riding the Allegheny Passage rail trail. Our stay was amazing in every way as the bed was comfortable and Jason's hospitality was incredible. The guest house is located very close to the trail, but conveniently located in town close to amenities like restaurants and a convenience store for supplies. ||Everything was very well maintained and clean. The style and design of the common spaces encourage hanging out with other guests sharing the experience.||Highly recommended experience!||Tom & Sharie

Way beyond expectations! Very well appointed & comfortable accommodations, perfect location for both cyclists and “regular” travelers, delicious breakfast, knowledgeable host, I could go on and on. Do yourself a favor and book a room here, Jason is a fantastic host.

We arrived at the B&B about 5:30, after our longest day on the trail (75 miles), and the climb from Cumberland. Jason was extremely helpful in getting us settled and in providing suggestions for dinner at local restaurants as well as specific directions to get to them. Breakfast the next morning was great, and got us out the door and back on the trail earlier than usual. The house is beautiful, and the room I stayed in was great; best nights sleep I had the whole trip.

We stayed for 1 night with friends as we had booked a Tracks and Yak trip the next day. The trail house is in an excellent location with easy access to everything. We could have walked but drove as it was extremely hot that day. The room was very clean and comfortable. The window Air Conditioner worked well and the beds in the Depot room (we had 2) were fine. Jason gives you multiple choices for breakfast and you place your order the night before along with when you wish to eat. The food was very good and the other couple we met at breakfast was very nice. It turned out they had booked the same activity as us.|Not much else to say - it was a nice, easy stay and very quiet which is important to me as I'm a light sleeper. Good value for the money.

Very clean, which is always my main criteria. The place was immaculate, and considering it was catering to people like me coming off the GAP trail, that must be a challenge. The owner provided super clear communications and service. Decor was nicely done and the place has AC. Breakfast was healthy and made to order. The price was right and there was free wifi, coffee, water bottle filling, mints, and access to bike storage area, a fridge and microwave. Basically everything we needed.

Jason and Chloe were nice hosts. The room was plenty large, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Frost room which had a private balcony. Jason runs shuttle services for the bike trail (GAP and C&O Tow Path), which we were grateful for not having to bike round trip. There was also a locked shed to keep our bikes in out of the weather . Only one negative, I didn't realize breakfast would be vegan and would have liked to have known up front as I'm not a fan of meat substitutes. Yogurt parfait was delicious.
