This evening, my husband and I dined at Island Cho Caribbean Cuisine and were blown away by the delicious dishes we tried. For our appetizer, we ordered the jerk chicken quesadilla and it was flavorful and hot when we received it. For his main entree, my husband ordered the chicken roti and raved about the tender chicken and flaky roti. I opted for the oxtail dish with rasta pasta, and it was a flavor explosion like no other. The oxtail was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with the creamy Rasta pasta. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and Gillian (the owner) and her staff were friendly and attentive. We can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience, Island Cho!

Island Cho Restaurant is a true gem! The food is absolutely incredible, and the customer service is top-notch. I tried the chicken roti, and it was bursting with flavor – easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The entire experience was flawless from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious food and friendly service. Definitely a 5-star experience

We’re in love with Island Cho and its ability to bring the best authentic Caribbean cuisine to North Haven! Family/woman owned you can feel the love in all the dishes.

Naturally, we wanted to try the things that aren’t readily offered anywhere else so we indulged in beef patty, shrimp, wrapped in plantains, curry, dishes, sushi - yes sushi, fried chicken, and all the amazing side dishes that complement the leading star of each plate.

They do serve wine and beer, which if you’re like me, you always appreciate a good wine pairing with a local dish.

The service is highly personal and great! If you’re looking for an intimate and tasty experience, stop reading and GO!

To start off it’s nice to see Caribbean restaurants upcoming in our communities. I’m all for embracing and bringing our foods into new customs.

The food even though it looks aesthetically pleasing, it was overall decent, I think it lacked the Caribbean love and spice. I expected more especially from the reviews. To be fair the chicken wings were phenomenal and the flavor that was brought out is what I expected in the rest of our meals. I do want to say I think it’s a little unfortunate that we went there for the Oxtails and Curry Goat, however it was not available, when it’s a staple and part of their main dishes.

Service overall lacked communication and consistency. I see the potential and I do believe they can work a little more together to bring better quality to the service and food.

The restaurant itself is beautiful and well kept, it felt like home with traditional soca and dancehall in the background, but I do say they can lower it a touch so people are still able to enjoy and mingle among each other.

Their Jamaican deluxe beef patty is a must-try. It's not your average patty - there's a delicious twist that will have you wanting more. And the curry goat? Tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite is a celebration of Caribbean spices.

The warm atmosphere at Island Cho adds to the entire experience. The decor is inviting, and the owner is an absolute delight. They clearly take pride in their food and their customers.

If you're looking for a taste of the Caribbean that will tantalize your taste buds, look no further than Island Cho. You won't be disappointed!

Went to this place after a movie with my girls today and I was utterly disappointed. I saw a TikTok review and they hyped it up so much. But we got there at about 3pm on a Monday and it was completely empty. We were greeted by a young lady, who was friendly, but spoke very softly. We gave our drink order and food orders.

I ordered the jerk chicken and asked if the chicken had sauce (personally don’t like sauce bc that’s not authentic jerk) she said yes and confirmed but was a mixture of bbq and hot sauce. I asked if it could come without the sauce she said yes. I asked if the chicken had jerk seasoning on it like normal. She said yes, so I ordered it without the sauce. I also wanted told her I was going to place a to-go order. One cousin ordered the curry shrimp and Rasta pasta. One cousin ordered the curry goat roti. My sister ordered 2 things to go.

By 4pm all the food hadn’t come out only the curry goat/roti. Then the Rasta pasta, then the jerk chicken. The To-go order hadn’t come out by 4:30 and my sister had to leave without her food (we brung it to her). But it turns out that’s when we learned you could only pay cash or cash app.

Once the food got there it was completely disappointing. The jerk chicken was old and dry and had no flavor or jerk rub whatsoever. The peas and rice had all of 11 beans in it and had no flavor and the cabbage was blah. I tried to nibble a piece of chicken but it was too dry.

The Rasta pasta was weird. It tasted like sweet Alfredo and had no spice whatsoever. The goat was just ok. The best thing that came out was the roti and the drinks.

The food was way overpriced I paid $30.92 for food that was tasteless and dry. Then when the waitress came back after we asked for the bill we were told to pay cash or cash app, we asked if debit/credit cards could be used she said yes but it’s an extra 4% charge, and then said just use cash app. She gave us tickets with our totals and walked away. We paid (very reluctantly bc the food was trash) and left.
