Great place for short and easy hikes and walking. Lots of picnic benches and tables, a swimming area, horseshoe pits, and well-kept bathrooms.

As others have mentioned, although it's right next to the freeway, it feels secluded and picturesque.

Great place to bring your dogs, as there are plenty of trashcans around, lots of walking paths, and plenty of grass. However, dogs are not allowed on the beach.

There is a fee for use. A day pass is $8, with different fees for different uses.

Lovely area for both short and longer walks/hikes/runs, clean if basic bathrooms, and picnic tables. Well maintained and despite being near the highway, feels quiet and secluded.

Nice grass area with shade, easy access for paddle boarding would have rated our day a Five, until a group showed up, loud F bombs, smoking, just no regard for being courteous.

This place was actually really nice but my friend did put $10 in the machine any dinner get $3 back or $2 I can't remember but we went on a walk on the trail that was really awesome there's a bunch of gnats when you're walking up the Hill but other than that it's pretty dope I just wish they had a place to get change back if you put a $10 bill in

The thermalito forebay has improved so much in the last 40 years. The area that is open for swimming and picnicking has a lot of parking and also a lot of full grown trees now making nice shade in the Summer sun. There is an entrance fee to get into the swimming and picnicking area.

The California State Recreation Area Lake Oroville Forebay is a nature area with a regulated swimming, walking paths, and you can bring your Canoe or Kayak for a water adventure. Fishing is allowed.

Close to my second home, nice boat ramp, swimming and picnic areas. Clean as well.
