I love their food! I have ordered here for pickup a couple of times, and it is so good!
Tonight, my boyfriend and I had a date night and chose Maiz so we could finally dine in. We were so happy with our choice! Great atmosphere, tasty drinks, and somehow, the food tasted even better dining in.
I love that they are collaborating with a local farm on a project to grow their own ingredients!
We will definitely be going back with friends, and we will continue to order take out from them!

The Maiz was great. Very quaint little spot for a quick bite to eat after strolling the side walks. Everything is gluten free and so many options. This was my first Columbian sandwich like this. The sandwich was packed full, and the hardest part was trying to figure out how to eat it. It was so much wider than my mouth could open. There are many different sauces, but I choose the cilantro. I love cilantro but have never had a cilantro paste like this, but it was awesome. The place is very spacious and clean but not set up for large groups. The staff was very friendly.

WOW. Wish we had tried this sooner! Amazing flavors, generous portions, and the sauces were out of this world. Try the Arepas! The menu offers first time diners enough help to make confident choices and the staff members were equally helpful!

Update, April 2023 - They have a new bar manager with expanded offerings. Food is still great!

This is the new Brunswick restaurant I've been waiting for.

If you've been asking what's new, different and delicious to have for dinner, the Columbian street food at Maiz is the answer.

Delicious, reasonably priced, and friendly service. My wife and I have been twice so far and haven't yet found something on the menu we haven't loved.

Overstuffed, messy arepas. The sauces are good.
The bean one tasted like like it was filled with a can of unseasoned black beans.
The cheese one was burnt.
Columbian chorizo was the best out of everything.
The chicharrones were super chewy like leather. They were almost to the point of being inedible.
And the bar? I question why they even have a bar tender. All their drinks are premixed or canned.

Was beyond perfect!!!! I got two of there Arepas (garlic lovers and the veggie one)
I was absolutely loved the garlic one, chicken was juicy and tender, cheese was perfectly melted, spinach was fresh. Had a great garlic flavor was wonderful without being to much.
I was unable to to try the veggie one from being stuffed from the first one. I also got a guava just that was delicious, tamarin juice was good as well. We got a table full of food and all of it was out of this world!!!! Finally authentic and delicious cultural food in Maine. Can't wait to go back

Friendly, casual, and fun. We are very excited to see how this new restaurant grows in the community.

This is a very casual dining experience; however, the food is delicious! We are definitely going to work this spot into our local rotation.
