This is a fabulous place to stay for a trip to the Maine woods. The lodge is a B&B that offers lovely rooms, a sitting area, and a limited bar. There are kayaks and canoes available to use on the lake that almost surrounds the property. There is easy access to both Baxter State Park and Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. You can also drive scenic (paved) Route 11 north to the Canadian border, and the Golden Road (gravel) west to the Moose Lake country and another Canadian border. The breakfasts aren't the usual simple fare, but imaginative, varied, and delicious. You can get a breakfast sandwich if you need to get an early start. Staff is friendly, professional, and attentive to your needs. Rooms are spacious and well-kept and you can get a view of the lake from some, and from a comfortable sitting area. There's also a limited bar.

Such a beautiful lodge. Our first Bed & Breakfast experience was amazing here. The view from our room was gorgeous to wake up to with the calm lake water and Mt. Katahdin in the background. Our cook Lisa was great! She made such delicious breakfasts for us and took care of my husband's celiac disease with ease by serving him delicious gluten free foods! The owners were so friendly, and the Lodge is very well maintained. I highly recommend this establishment any time you need to get away and destress!

#29 on map, southern south twin Lakes location. Rode my snowmobile into 5 Lakes Lodge. Comfortable bar area was very nice. Was able to get fuel for my sled also.

My husband and I stayed here for vacation (September 27-29) and absolutely loved it! The lodge was truly beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Great views of the lake and Mt. Katahdin. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so nice/welcoming. We would definitely come back here again in the future!

Enjoyed my Honeymoon here! The lodge is nicely situated along the lake, with a stunning view of Mt Katahdin which we enjoyed in the morning with coffee and evening with wine. Hosts were super attentive and enjoyable to meet. Breakfast was excellent. Location a major plus since we wanted to visit both Baxter and the National Monument areas.

5 Lakes Lodge is a fabulous B&B near Baxter State Park. Your room opens onto the lake and Mt. Katahdin, is well appointed and you can drift off to the sound of lapping waves. After kayaking or canoeing enjoy a cocktail at their waterfront lounge. Breakfast is superb and the owners make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. They went most helpful in arranging activities and offering dining suggestions. Easily the best place in the area to stay for access to both adventure and repose.

This place was paradise. Both rustic and elegant, it was clean, all of the staff was happy and helpful. Rooms were beautiful and the view of Mt. Katahdin was spectacular! The breakfasts were homemade and delicious. I could go on and on and truly hope to get back soon!

This place is a real gem! The location is amazing, right on a lake. The grounds are very well kept and they have kayaks and canoes for the guests to use. We used the kayaks one evening, and had a nice paddle, watching the sunset... The breakfasts are simply delicious! So yummy! The room was cozy and comfortable and had a whirlpool! The views from the room are spectacular. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's near hiking and biking trails, and only a nice 30 minute drive to Baxter State Park!
